Which digital service does your business need first?
By Aletheva Systems · Draft
Start with the point where customers get stuck. If visitors cannot understand your offer, investigate the website. If suitable customers struggle to find you, investigate search visibility. If your team repeats the same website answers, consider a chatbot. If routine phone enquiries need a clearer response and handoff, consider a voice assistant. You do not need to buy all four services together.
Choose by the problem you can observe
| Problem to check | Possible starting point | What to examine first |
|---|---|---|
| Visitors ask what you offer or cannot find how to contact you. | Website revamp. | Service descriptions, mobile readability, enquiry forms and contact routes. |
| Your website explains the offer, but discovery in search needs investigation. | Google and AI search optimisation. | Search Console visibility, useful service content and technical access to the website. |
| Your team repeatedly answers routine questions from website visitors. | AI chatbot. | Approved answers, enquiry details to collect and the route to a human. |
| Routine phone enquiries need a more consistent response or handoff. | AI voice assistant. | Agreed call scenarios, information the assistant can use and escalation rules. |

Check before you choose
- Open your homepage on a phone. Can a new visitor name your services and find the next step without opening several pages?
- Check the journey from a service page to your enquiry form. Can a visitor identify what happens after submitting it?
- If you have Search Console access, inspect which pages and searches produced impressions and clicks. A low number alone does not explain the cause.
- List the routine questions your team answers. Separate those with stable approved answers from those requiring judgement or an individual quote.
- Decide who receives an enquiry that an assistant cannot handle. Confirm how your team will follow it up before adding automation.
These checks identify what to investigate. They are not a diagnosis or a promise that a particular service will increase sales.
What each service can cover
Website work can improve mobile-friendly pages, service information and enquiry routes. Search work can address useful content, technical foundations and visibility reporting. A chatbot can use approved business information, capture enquiry details and provide a route to your team. A voice assistant needs its own agreed phone scenarios and handoff setup. Booking and other integrations depend on the agreed scope.
Google's AI search features use the same underlying SEO foundations as ordinary search. Improving a page does not guarantee its ranking or inclusion in an AI answer. Search access also differs from permission to use content for model training. Judge the work through observable changes and appropriate reporting, rather than a promise to appear in every answer.
A small website example
On Aletheva's own homepage, we now name the four services before the enquiry demonstration and show what each covers. This illustrates how an offer can be made more explicit. It is an example of a content change on our own website, not a client case study or evidence of higher traffic or conversion.
What if you only need a simple shop presence?
The separate Shopfront package combines a mobile page, Google Business Profile setup and a WhatsApp contact button for heartland and shophouse businesses. AI chatbot and ongoing SEO campaign work are separate. Review the current Shopfront page for its scope and terms.
Do you need all four services?
No. Start with the problem you can observe. A website improvement, search programme and assistant setup solve different parts of the customer journey. Priorities and paid scope should be agreed before work starts.
What should you measure?
Use search impressions and clicks to assess search discovery. Use website visits and successful enquiries to assess activity on your site. Track share-button use as sharing intent, not proof that someone published a post. Social-platform views, comments and shares need that platform's own data. An AI referral is a visit from an identifiable source, not a count of every AI answer mentioning your business.
Your next step
Write down the one point where customers most often get stuck. If you would like help choosing a starting point, request a free AI audit. The audit is the starting conversation; website work, search optimisation and assistant setup are paid services with an agreed scope.
